Meet Dr. Katherine Staniek
As one of our dedicated dentists, Dr. Staniek loves having the opportunity to provide care that improves her patients’ self-confidence, appearance, and oral health in lasting ways. These services not only lead to someone enjoying a better smile, but a higher quality of life as well! She is proud to be working alongside Dr. Blake and takes every opportunity to expand her knowledge so that she can provide the highest level of care to her patients. Why She Became a Dentist
As a young girl, Dr. Staniek really looked up to her female dentist. She always enjoyed her appointments and recognized the impact that a caring provider can have on a person. She has vivid memories of happy patients leaving their office with a big healthy smile on their face. From that moment on, she felt a calling to become a dentist. She wanted to be that special person who could help others every day and give them the confidence to smile again too.
Dr. Staniek’s Dental Education & Training
Dr. Staniek’s college career started at Augustana College, where she majored in biology with a minor in biochemistry. From there, she pursued her dental doctorate at Midwestern University, followed by the completion of an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency at the Clement Zablocki Medical VA Center. During her residency, she had the unique opportunity to work with medically compromised patients and manage complex dental cases. Dr. Staniek is constantly developing her skills and is always up for the challenge.
Over the years, she has completed additional training in subjects like Clear Correct, BOTOX, and dental fillers. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society.
Life Away From the Dental Office
When she isn’t busy caring for teeth, Dr. Staniek enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, going on hikes, cooking, skiing, doing yoga, and playing badminton. She also loves traveling! Her most recent trips include visiting Croatia and Greece.
Here’s an interesting fact you may not know about Dr. Staniek: she’s actually fluent in Polish! She attended Polish School on Saturdays early on in life, where she learned to read/write the language, as well as the history of her heritage.
